Researcher Account User Agreement

By creating a researcher account with PepperCo Research (“PepperCo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to the terms of this Researcher Account User Agreement (“Agreement”). This Agreement is in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which also apply to your use of our Site and services.

1. Account Creation

To create a researcher account, you must provide the following required information:

Valid email address (used for account login and all communications)
Full legal name
Phone number (for order verification and delivery coordination)
A password that meets our security requirements

You must be at least 21 years of age to create a researcher account. By creating an account, you confirm that all information provided is accurate, current, and complete.

2. Account Use

Your researcher account is intended for your personal use as a researcher. You may not:

Share your account credentials with any other person
Create multiple accounts using the same email address
Use your account for any commercial resale of products purchased from PepperCo Research
Use your account to place fraudulent orders or orders that violate these Terms

3. Research Use Acknowledgment

By creating a researcher account, you acknowledge and agree that:

All products sold by PepperCo Research are for laboratory research use only
Products are not intended for human consumption, animal use, diagnostic procedures, or therapeutic application
You will handle all materials in accordance with applicable laboratory safety protocols
You are purchasing research reagents, not consumer products
You will not resell, distribute, or otherwise transfer products to any third party

4. Marketing and Communications Consent

By creating a researcher account, you consent to receive the following communications from PepperCo Research:

Order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery notifications
Cart abandonment reminders for items left in your cart
Weekly product updates and research news (you can opt out at any time)
Promotional emails about new products and special offers (you can opt out at any time)
Account-related notifications (policy updates, security alerts)

You can manage your communication preferences or unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us at info@peppercoresearch.com. Order-related and account-related emails cannot be unsubscribed from, as they are necessary for service delivery.

5. Order Agreement

By placing an order through your researcher account, you agree to:

The Terms of Service
The Shipping Policy
The Return & Refund Policy
The Privacy Policy
The Research Use Only acknowledgment (see Section 3 above)

These agreements must be checked and acknowledged at checkout before any order can be completed.

6. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. PepperCo Research is not liable for any unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to safeguard your password. If you suspect unauthorized access, you must notify us immediately at info@peppercoresearch.com so we can secure your account.

7. Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your researcher account at any time. To request account deletion:

Log in to your researcher account
Navigate to Account Settings → Delete Account
Confirm your identity using your registered email or phone number
Submit the deletion request

Alternatively, you may email us at info@peppercoresearch.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and include your registered email address.

What happens when you delete your account:

Your account login credentials will be permanently deactivated
Your personal information (name, email, phone) will be removed from our active systems within 30 days
You will be unsubscribed from all marketing and promotional communications
Your order history will be retained for a minimum of 7 years for legal, tax, and compliance purposes, as required by applicable law. This retained data is not linked to your active account and cannot be used to identify you in our systems
Any store credit balance on your account must be used before deletion. Unused store credit will be forfeited upon account deletion.
Once your account is deleted, you cannot reactivate it. You will need to create a new account to place future orders.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. If you wish to temporarily deactivate your account instead, contact us at info@peppercoresearch.com.

8. Account Suspension

PepperCo Research reserves the right to suspend or terminate your researcher account if you:

Violate any of our Terms of Service or policies
Initiate a chargeback in violation of our policies
Provide false or misleading information
Use products in a manner inconsistent with their intended research use
Engage in fraudulent or suspicious activity

If your account is suspended, you will be notified by email. Any store credit balance may be forfeited upon suspension for policy violations.

9. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of your researcher account after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.
